Stolen or embezzled property held by peace officer subject to magistrate’s order.

Except as provided in NRS 52.385 , when property, alleged to have been stolen or embezzled, shall come into the custody of a peace officer, the peace officer shall hold the same subject to the order of the magistrate authorized by NRS 179.135 to direct the disposal thereof.
